Noah does the Double!

Karting ace Noah Chamberlain has just secured his 2nd consecutive Championship title at age just 8!  The youngster has recently claimed the coveted IKR IAME Cadet Championship title at the iconic Three Sisters Circuit, near Wigan.

Noah went into the final race of the season with a small point’s advantage over his nearest competitor aiming for a victory but more importantly focused on a good haul of points to secure the Championship.

The day got off to a slow start with proceedings being delayed for 30 minute due to fog.  However once visibility has improved the first session got underway and Noah got down to business.  Noah and his team made good use of the day’s opening test session setting his kart up ready for qualifying.  With a large turn out on the day traffic proved to be a challenge for the Qualifying session with Noah struggling to get a clear lap in.  Despite not being totally satisfied he did managed to squeeze in a lap which proved to be good enough for Pole Position by a stunning 8 tenths of a second.

The following heat races went largely to plan with Noah finishing ahead of the pack but importantly putting him P1 on the grid for the all-important final race.

Unfortunately the final race of the day didn’t quite go to plan.  Noah was beaten off the line by a faster starting kart which then unfortunately held him up during the race.  Despite having a pace advantage which in clear air would have seen Noah eke out a usable advantage he managed his frustrations well despite not being able to find a way past.  Noah resisted the temptation to chase the race victory with an “all or nothing” overtaking move and kept focused on the main prize, the Championship title.  Noah finished the final in P2 but importantly secured the valuable points needed to claim the Championship crown!

In addition to taking the Title is also Noah extend his consecutive podium finish streak to an amazing 18 races over a remarkable 2 Year period!
